Project Checklist

  • We will need your input to be able to design the maps. Please follow the steps below and mark and fill in the required information. If you do not have the capacity or the access to obtain the requested information check the box below and we will arrange an on-site visit by our technician.
  • I want evax to arrange for an on-site visit to determine the scope of project and verify site forall required elements I understand the that the survey will be separately charged on a T&M basis.
  • We design our maps in two default sizes. For some jurisdictions with stricter regulations we use vertical layout 20” x 12”. For most others we default to a horizontal 11” x 17”. If you want your maps to fit existing holders we can tailor the sizes to you request.
  • Please write the height x width in inches: H 8" x W 11 1/2"
  • We design our maps to best fulfill your local code using the type of graphics inspectors are most used to seeing. Mark below if you have your own preferred design.
  • Please upload pictures or designs of your map graphic style

  • We will need your building plans to be uploaded. If this is a new construction or existing building remodel, make sure to upload at least the following: -Site plan -All Floor plans, incl. basement, underground parking levels and roof -Life Safety or Egress maps (if available) -Electrical – Fire Alarm diagrams (if available) If this is an existing building upgrade or you just need your evacuation plans to be upgraded, we will need as much information as we can get. In some cases, we will need to visit your site and survey your premises.
  • Drop files here or
  • We will need to know locations of some of your fire equipment. You can do your own quick walk-thru and mark up your own floor plans or send us a copy of existing evacuation diagram with these items shown: -Locations of Fire Extinguishers -Locations of Fire Hose Cabinets (if present) -Locations of Manual Pull Alarm Stations (if present) -Locations of Fire Panel or Fire Command Center (if present)
  • Drop files here or
  • Many buildings and facilities designate certain fire-protected places as Areas of Refuge for disabled persons to communicate with fire command center via 2-way system and await for assistance. We need to know where are these areas located. Use your fire equipment diagram to mark up the locations.
  • We typically use 911 as the default Emergency number to call. Some facilities use prefixes or other numbers.
  • Describe your type of alarm. We need both the audible (i.e. whooping sound, siren etc.) and visual (i.e. strobe light). These are sometimes followed by a public announcement and other types of communication. Please Note: Smoke alarms, however helpful, are not replacement for actual Alarm Notification System
  • Some facilities and campuses designate certain outdoor places as assembly areas to help emergency management with successful evacuation and to clear the premises for first responders
  • Drop files here or
  • After we determine where your maps should be located, we will send you the Location plan. You will need to review it and see if our placement on a particular wall is not in conflict with existing obstructions, i.e wall mounted equipment, artwork, furniture etc., and take pictures of locations in question and/or suggested alternate placements. The placement is crucial for the map orientation as it is must be rotated to match the user’s viewing angle.
  • Thank you for taking time to review this Project Check list and providing all necessary information. It will help to bring the project to a speedy and successful conclusion.
  • Do you have anything more to add? Do so here.
